Almost 2 months now and not done

Well almost 2 months and the car is still not 100% road ready.
I am ending the budgets 13k Euros very soon and am still missing necessary parts.
Furthermore I am disappointed in the UK. I have ordered several parts, including Defi gauges, which were in stock, but once I paid were not in stock anymore.
To add to that I had bought a Kakimoto Exhaust almost a month back and it still hasn't been sent.
I am also still missing my evo 6 ECU. One more thing is missing, the Bosch Fuel Pump I bought a few weeks ago.
From what Ive ordered so far I've only received the injectors and a decat.

This is very much a learning experience and not easy by ANY means. I needed to spend more time with car issues than with my exams.

Castrol 10w60

Next is the oil. I'm gonna install the new tie-rods tomorrow and also get an oil change done at the same time.
I bought some Castrol 10w60, although I would have preferred something else, this should do!

Got my first parts: Injectors

Since the Evo 4 has 510cc injectors I got my hands on some low milage Evo 8 injectors. They only ran 20,000 km

Today I went to try and register the car

Since I live in the Netherlands I have to register it here.

here are couple of pointers for people trying to do the same:

Cars before 1997, do not need rear fog lights!
If the car is RHD you have to change the front headlights

You get your car checked out at the RDW www.rdw.nl and they just check the papers and if you want they do the APK (same as MOT, TUV or emissions testing)

I did that and sadly I failed!

I need some new tie rod ends and ordered 2 from www.camskill.co.uk Very nice people and they called me to tell me they shipped it out the same day. good stuff.

Now I have to wait for that.

Because they said the tie rod ends were badI m gonna post some pics.

also wanted to check the cambelt and did so.

here is a pic of the tie rod. It doesn't look bad and the steering actually has no play, but what can you do!

Ordered new ones, they are suppose to look something like this (on the right)

The SweEvo

10.05.2008 I picked up the Evo about 20 miles of London. The previous owner was a woman and had owned it for about 3 years.
It is/was in fairly good condition for a 12 year old car.
It was a 7 hour drive home with it, back to the mainland of Europe.

First post

I actually wanted to design a blog for my new car, but I thought I can add other things as well!
